As I’ve had this backpack for close to 6 years, I thought it would be good to do a long term review on it. It’s pretty much my every day carry go-to bag. Although I occasionally reach for a different backpack, the Mission Workshop Sanction gets used the most.
I purchased it around 6 years ago from Condor Cycles in Central London. I can’t remember how much I paid at the time but they currently sell for £175.00 (GBP)
“The construction is fully weatherproof with waterproof fabrics and coated zips, and large enough for a 15-inch laptop. It is manufactured in the USA with a lifetime guarantee.”
It’s a 20-litre backpack that comes in 5 different colours. There is a large inner zipped pocket for a laptop and 4 other pockets arranged along the front of the pack. The construction is fully weatherproof with waterproof fabrics and coated zips, and large enough for a 15-inch laptop. It is manufactured in the USA with a lifetime guarantee. It doesn’t come with a waist belt/strap but one can be purchased from Mission and added by threading it through the back.
“Great for the daily commute, yet smart enough to take into the office.”
The bag has a very minimalist, classy and simple look to it especially the all-black version with the small logo patch on the front pocket flap. Great for the daily commute, yet smart enough to take into the office. I find it perfect for everyday use, it fits everything I need. I can easily fit my laptop, iPad, an accessories pouch, a raincoat, my lunch and bike lock. It also has room to fit clothes for a weekend or short break away which I have done numerous times. As I said previously, I have had this for around 6 years and it has no signs of wear or tear.
With regards to comfort, the Mission Workshop Sanction backpack is one of the most comfortable bags I own. The shoulder straps are wide and well-padded, although it might be nice to have some adjustment at the top of the strap for this size of the bag. The padding is very good on the back but could be helped with some channels sewn in to help with ventilation.
- A great looking everyday backpack with amazing
- durable construction and very comfortable
- Ideal for city life on the bike, day to day use and weekends away
- Lifetime guarantee.
- Could a little out of the price range for some people.
- Sometimes it’s hard to get into the smaller pockets when the main compartment is stuffed
- A personal thing is I like to have my water bottle in an exterior pocket away from my laptop and the bag lacks this exterior pocket
